Shakespeare 400 years updates

After gig at Arcola Theatre on January 30,  Bards Without Borders appeared at the Poetry Cafe on Monday February 1 ...then at the Senate House - Thursday 10th March 2016. In between some of the BWB  performed at the Refugee Awareness moments - all in February.  And the women International evening in Gants Hill organised by Exile Writers Ink through Shamim Azad.

 Hidden along a quite street ...in an area renowned for clubbing, young students, business and so on. But here we are seated talking of literature, rewards of literature, beauty of literature, lull and love of literature. Winners of literature... writing swimming pool.  Words power...

 Dr Jennifer Langer of EWI comperes the evening watched by Dr Fatieh Saudi- collecter of all the poems for the 2014 competition. As the dazzling evening hurtled, Dr Saudi also read a poem about the 1982 Lebanese bombing. Chilling memories.

WHEN WRITERS MEET...

Song writers, poets, novelists, bloggers, social analysts, journalists – they were all here around the Kitchen Table. Thanks to Global Fusion Music and Arts...

First Angela Aimes and Sandhya Kaffo, proudly, showed their new poetry collections. Then Wendy Higgs exhibited her jewels from Egypt, the work of a man called ...what was the man’s name? Adel. Not the famous English musician, but an Arab designer. Fascinating colours: emerald, ruby, purple, cream...you name it. 

Appreciation was shown in different ways- some touched, some said their favourite ones, others bought one, two, three pieces for themselves, wives, friends, etc.

Then it was time to read new works.
