JAZZ AT CHARLTON HOUSE TWO NIGHTS AGO...

A fascinating mix of martial arts, music and poetry...that was Friday night, 21st September, at Charlton House, Greenwich...
The bill was headlined by jazz singer Sarah Moule in her show : Femmes Fatales; the honey voice transported us through history by standards from different times. By her side was amazing pianist, composer and husband Simon Wallace, a man with a long successful history in show business...
Watch a minute and  half of their show here...
The gig began with a newly created jazz duet combo- with Andre Mathurin on bass and Robert Stekelenburg on piano...see a brief moment taken from their 15 minutes wonderful symbiosis here...

Soon after we had a Tai Chi demonstration by Chen Yeen Lawes...filled with inspired humour and one brave member from the audience who agreed to be a model for this art that help cure arthritis, through balance, co-ordination and what have you...
I especially enjoyed when Chen told us that Tai Chi combines a variety of masterpieces e.g.Yoga and Pilates...all in effortless ancient moves.
Then followed the poetry of Angela Aimes. He new book, Peace for Sale tallied with the theme of the night which was International Day of Peace...
A verse from the book which Angela read to the audience...

In between the sweet jazz music records of the finest taste... were played by DJ of the night Hazel Brown. Indeed the atmosphere was special despite the drizzling rain of a dismal Friday autumn...
Once again another production from Greenwich's Global Fusion Music and Arts...
